CHARLOTTE, NC–(Marketwired – January 12, 2016) – Velocity Technology Solutions Inc., a global leader in enterprise and business application cloud services, announced implementation and go-live for an SAP ERP Central Component (ECC) System for Nutec Inc. at their U.S. operations in North Carolina. This system was integrated into their existing SAP environment in Mexico and enables Nutec to process orders and ship their high temperature insulation wool products throughout the United States.
Velocity was selected as the implementation partner for the Nutec project, which includes two phases, based on overall value and committed timelines. Phase One included the FICO modules (general ledger, asset management, accounts payable, cost and profit center accounting as well as interfaces to payroll systems and banks), purchasing and U.S. tax configuration. Phase Two includes the extension of the FICO module to cover accounts receivables and additional purchasing features, as well as SD for sales order processing and pricing. Phase Two is expected to go-live in the second quarter of 2016.
The project was significant because Velocity worked with an international company — Nutec, Inc. is one company of Grupo Nutec, headquartered in Mexico, with operations in 50 countries — to bring their first U.S. facility live in less than two months using an international template for managing existing business processes.
“Our team recognizes how important the Nutec facility expansion is for their growth and our team worked diligently in collaborating with their global operations team,” said Ralf Suerken, Vice President of the SAP line of business for Velocity Technology Solutions. “Our focus was to ensure that the SAP ECC system installed in North Carolina integrated seamlessly with the existing SAP system in the Mexican headquarters. We were able to accomplish this four weeks ahead of the designated deadline.”
“The capability to deliver quickly and precisely shows Velocity’s flexibility in meeting a customer’s requirements in a timely and agile manner,” said Amy Hayes, U.S. Controller for Nutec. “The go-live with our system went smoothly and without any issues. We are pleased with Velocity’s progress and their ability to deliver as promised.”
