Queensland Health is on the hunt for a partner to provide “capability uplift and change management services” for its Financial System Renewal Project.
The program will see the upgrade of the department’s heavily customised SAP R/3 system to the SAP S/4HANA platform, which will cover finance, logistics, warehousing, assets and procurement.
The department’s payroll system, which was the centre of a highly publicised upgrade failure back in 2010, is not included in the scope of the project.
A feasibility study on the upgrade to SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Management was conducted in early 2016.
According to the RFP, the approach to change management will include the implementation of the SAP S/4HANA Best Practices, the deployment of a state-wide capability enhancement program will be required to upskill users, and the development of an S/4HANA prototype as a working demonstration system to help build user confidence.
Queensland Health is seeking a change management partner with demonstrated “capabilities in SAP finance transformation projects in a large geographically dispersed environment”, as well as a proven track record in the successful management and implementation of capability and change management services in the public sector.
