Description

If you are like most of the people who would love to read but never find it enough, then you may like the new app ‘Blinkist.’ The idea is simple and effective. This app provides a summary of over 2000 books from the non-fiction world which can help you –

  1. Get all the key insights from the book in 15 mins
  2. Find the right book for you (save money and time on books which are too hard to finish off)
  3. Even refresh your insights from the book you have always valued and read

Blinkist offers readers a chance to consume huge amount of research in a relatively short amount of time. I personally find Blinkist very useful as a mobile app when I am travelling.

Blinkist Review – Read one book a day (From https://agileleanlife.com)
DESIGNED FOR LEARNING ON THE GO
I use Blinkist only as a mobile app when I’m on the go. When I am at home and have enough time to read, I read books on Kindle. But when I’m on the move, Blinkist comes into play. Using Blinkist on the move is one of the greatest strengths of the app.

Not only are book summaries very well written, Blinkist also uses a special outline. It takes you around 15 minutes to read a book summary, but what’s so special is that every summary is divided into 8 – 12 key book insights.

Despite my dislike of the whole “book summary” concept, I have to acknowledge that Blinkist does a good job with some summaries. This includes the summary of the book Business Adventures by John Brookes, Warren Buffett’s favorite business book.
I’ve gone through this book cover to cover and it is a hard book to summarize. You almost have to read the whole thing to summarize it and I thought they did a great job doing so.

It takes about 5 to 10 minutes to go through an entire audio book summary on Blinkist and even faster if you use the 2x or 3x speed. That means that you can get through 50+ books in a day if not more.
