Business software specialist Infor has launched Infor CloudSuite Federal, a suite of software-as-a-service applications specifically designed for organizations operating on behalf of the U.S. federal government. It complements Infor’s existing line-up of cloud-based solutions, including Infor CloudSuite Public Sector, for state and local government agencies.
Using cloud technology to optimize procedures, Infor CloudSuite Federal is designed to help organizations deal with the compliance and regulatory implications arising from work with the federal government.
The suite of solutions has been designed specifically with compliance in mind, including meeting core standards such as Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Federal Information Security Act and the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program.
Through a strategic alliance with Amazon Web Services, CloudSuite Federal is also hosted on AWS GovCloud (US), a robust, secure and flexible cloud hosting environment.
Infor has long worked with clients in public sector areas such as academia, public safety and transport, and engaged with organizations carrying out essential roles within or in support of the federal government, including companies active in banking, defense, information management and the military sector.
“To keep pace in the modern global economy, a successful business model necessitates nimble and adaptable IT infrastructure that is both flexible and affordable,” says Infor Federal vice-president Wayne Bobby.
“Adoption of cloud technology has soared within the private sector in recent years, but for the federal government, concerns over cost and security have prevented many organizations from considering or utilizing this approach. Infor CloudSuite Federal is designed specifically to help government organizations overcome these hurdles.”
