The latest version of Microsoft Dynamics GP is set to be released in May 2016 according to an announcement from Terry Heley, Microsoft Escalation Engineer. We do recommend waiting to upgrade your software system until the first hot-fix is released and if you have ISV products, you’ll need to ensure those add-ins are compatible prior to upgrading. However, we’re very excited about this new version. The team at Microsoft has been diligently listening to customer feedback and have modeled their software upgrades to reflect the functionality that end-users want the most.
So far we know Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 will feature:
- additional All in One document viewers
- default Word templates for batch related workflows
- document attach for project expenses
- payroll posting account setup that will add more of what users want when creating detailed posting accounts (copy, paste, import/export, sorting)
- HTML5 Web Client
Additional features will be announced on Microsoft’s blog in the upcoming months, as well as system requirements for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016. Keep an eye on DFC Consultant’s Twitter page for announcements as we hear from Microsoft.
