On top of that, the new watch will use a custom software platform that won’t intrude in your life.
Both, the HP and Titan are newcomers in the world of smart wearables. Still, this announcement signals the second wearable tech partnership for HP in a short period of time.
Before Titan, HP teamed up with the another watchmaker, Movado. Together with HP, Movado launched two watches, Motion and Bold Motion.
India’s based Titan company is the world’s fifth largest watchmaker. The company sells its watches in 27 countries. The HP smartwatch is expected to be the first device from Titan’s new smartwatch range. The new watch has “a unique lifestyle” as its motto.
We are still waiting for HP to reveal the designs of its new watch. We can only hope that HP will deliver something different than its previous partnership in wearable tech.
Regarding the OS, HP did not detail on what the system will do. Also, the final price is to be announced. However, the press release gives us a hint of Titan and HP’s plans referring to the HP smartwatch as a blend of tradition and technology.
The partnership follows on Intel and TAG Heuer footsteps and their new Carrera Connected smartwatch.
HP Smartwatch Launching Date – The End Of 2015
Still there is a difference between TAG Heuer’s watch and the new watch from HP. Tag Heuer chose Android Wear for its smartwatch while HP and Titan will have their custom OS.
The HP’s last smartwatch, created in partnership with Movado, is also using a custom OS. The OS is compatible with iOS and Android mobiles, but it lacks the support of developers and third party apps.

As an extra hint of the price to expect for the new watch, you can check Titan’s online store. You’ll find that the watches they sell are between $100 to $200. Therefore, you can expect the new HP smartwatch to cost less than Fossil’s Android Wear watch. Or, even less than Apple’s range of watches.
The Titan – HP smartwatch will launch before the end of 2015. The latest news points out that the watch is going to reach India’s stores first. Other international markets to follow weeks later.
